St Peter’s runs a range of activities for families and young people. The church employs a Family & Youth Co-ordinator who heads up a team of committed volunteers providing quality activities for children, young people and their families.
Sunday Worship
Children and young people are welcome at all of our services. At our 9.30am service, worship, teaching and activities are particularly suitable for children – as well as adults! See our services page for more details. On the fourth Sunday of the month there is no 9.30am service, as Messy Church takes place on that day.

See & Know
Every Friday (Term Time)
9:30 – 11:30am
A group for the littlest babies and toddlers to come along with parents or carers for play time, songs, story, creative activities and refreshments. £1 per family.
Rewired
Every other Friday (Term Time)
7:15 – 8:45pm
Our youth group for those aged 10-14. We meet fortnightly in the church halls to play sports, chat, try loads of interesting and unusual activities and make friends. £2 entry.
Messy Church
The fourth Sunday of the month
15:30 – 17:30pm
The whole family are encouraged to join us on the fourth Sunday of each month for play and games, music, craft and lots more fun, all followed by a delicious meal together.
Forest Church
The first Sunday of the month
2 – 3pm
A monthly gathering in Hirst Wood for children aged 2-10 years old and their grown-ups. Join us to connect with God through playful exploration of creation. Please dress for the weather and outdoor activities!
Rooted
During every 9:30am service
Rooted meets during out 9:30 services for those between the ages of 10 and 16 to delve deeper into the theme of the week and get to know God a little better. Attend each week to collect your ‘Big Truth’ cards. Questions encouraged!
Uniform Groups
A range of groups, including Rainbows, Beavers, Brownies, Cubs, Guides and Scouts, use St Peter’s Church Halls as their base on weekday evenings.
