Welcome to St Peter’s, Shipley!
We are an Anglican church based in Saltaire, Shipley – in between the city of Bradford and the Yorkshire Dales – with a vision to see our town transformed by the power of God.
We meet in several congregations – 9.30am, 11.15am and 6.30pm on Sundays. From time to time, we bring everyone together for a single joint all-age Sunday service at 10.30am. We also gather in smaller fellowship groups at each others’ homes and in church. You are welcome to join us at any of our congregations and groups.
If you’re new to the church, we’d love to get to know you. Fill in a Welcome Card at any of our Sunday services, or complete our online form. We’re glad that you are interested in St Peter’s and look forward to seeing you soon!

What should I expect at St Peter’s?
Going to a church for the first time can be intimidating, but we’ll make every effort to make sure that your first and following visits are happy and enjoyable.
How should I dress?
We’re proud of our friendly and casual atmosphere. Don’t worry about what you’re wearing – there are no dress codes. Just dress the way you feel most comfortable, whether that’s in a pair of jeans or in a suit and tie.
Where do I park?
There’s a small car park at St Peter’s, but it can get busy at service times. If the car park is full, there’s plenty of space on the surrounding streets, but please make sure that you park with consideration for our neighbours.
What about children?
Children are welcome at all of our services. In particular, the 9.30am service (every week except the third Sunday of the month) is a time of worship suitable for all ages, with activities available for children in church during the service.
On the third Sunday of the month (except August), we hold Messy Church from 3.30-5.30pm in the church and halls. This includes space for games and refreshments, activity and craft time, a short worship celebration, together with songs, stories and prayers, and a meal. All welcome – any age!
We also have several groups for children and young people running throughout the week.
