Part-time Administrator Vacancy – maternity cover

St Peter’s are looking for a job-share administrator for 12 hours per week to cover maternity leave.

The role of administrator is important in supporting the life and work of the church. The good administration of the church office is a key part of ensuring that we are able effectively to engage with both our congregation and also with individuals and organisations in our community in Shipley.

The post is based on site at the church and is line managed by the Priest-in-Charge. The hours will be largely worked over Monday to Friday mornings, with exact times to be negotiated.

St Peter’s vision as a church is to see the town of Shipley changed by the power of God. We want to see this happen through a Church that is filled with the power of the Holy Spirit and committed to the Word of God and that serves others in order to grow God’s kingdom.

This role is temporary to cover maternity leave and is for 12 hours a week, currently operating as part of a job share.

To do the role, the successful applicant:

  • Will have good spoken and written communication skills
  • Will be competent with the main Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc)
  • Should preferably have some experience of digital communication – using social media and internet publishing.
  • Will also need to have good people skills and be confident working mainly alone.
