We’re delighted that the Bishop of Leeds, Rt Rev Nick Baines has announced that Rev Natasha Thomas has been appointed to the post of Interim Priest-in-Charge at St Peter’s.
We have been in vacancy since the retirement of Rev John Rainer in September 2023 and are so pleased that, following a recruitment process, Natasha will be joining us in Shipley at the end of the month.
She has worked in Keighley parish for the last six years, where she is currently team vicar for mission and outreach. Shipley is familiar terroritory though as, before her ordination, she worked in the town for 15 years as CEO of health charity HALE.
Natasha said: “I can see so much potential and opportunity in Shipley. I am very excited to be joining and getting to know you all soon.”
Natasha will be licensed to St Peter’s in a service at 2.30pm on Sunday 30 June, following which she will begin work in the parish.
