Walk through Holy Week

This year sees us able to mark Holy Week and celebrate Easter in full for the first time in two years, as the pandemic has receded enough to allow restrictions to be lifted. Do join us if you are able for any of the events planned:

Take Time meditations for Easter

All are welcome to join Helen online for 20 mins to take-time listening to a guided meditation, inspired by the stories of Jesus. Easter sessions will take place on Wednesdays 13th April, Friday 15th April (Good Friday) , Sunday 17th April (Easter Sunday) and Wednesday 20th April.

Maundy Thursday – April 14

You are invited to join Anglican Christians from across Shipley as we come together at St Paul’s Church in Kirkgate, Shipley to remember the Last Supper and share bread and wine together in remembrance of Jesus’s sacrifice for us, as he told us to do. The service of Holy Communion will start at 6.30pm.

Good Friday – April 15

Shipley Christians Together will be organising the March of Witness through the town centre on Friday morning – meet at St Paul’s Church in Kirkgate at 11.30am to walk together into the town centre for a short act of worship.

Join us at St Peter’s for an Hour at the Foot of the Cross between 2-3pm for a time of quiet reflection on the death of Jesus.

Shipley Christians Together will come together in the evening for a Service for Good Friday at the Christian Life Church at 4 Manor Lane Shipley. John will be speaking in this service.

Easter Saturday – April 16

A short Easter Vigil informal time of reflection, worship and preparation for Easter Day at 5pm in St. Peter’s .

Easter Sunday – April 17

We will all join together at 10.30am on Easter Day at St Peter’s for an Easter Celebration that Jesus is alive! The service will include Holy Communion and there will be activities available for all ages.

Please note there will be no evening service on Sunday at St Peter’s.
