Following the announcement of the latest national lockdown due to the Coronavirus pandemic, please note that all of our worship services will be taking place online only this coming Sunday, 10 January, and next week, 17 January.
Although the Government is not requiring churches to close for communal worship during this lockdown, the situation is very serious and any gathering of people constitutes a risk. However, we also recognise that coming to church is an important lifeline for some at this time.
Therefore, we feel it is important that the Parochial Church Council has an opportunity to fully and prayerfully consider all the issues before making a decision together about whether communal worship in person should continue in St Peter’s at this time and, if so, in what form.
The PCC will be meeting on Thursday evening next week (Jan 14) and would value your prayers for that discussion and their decision. All services in person will be suspended in the meantime and we will update the website with more information when a longer term decision has been taken about the rest of lockdown.
Services this Sunday will all be on the St Peter’s YouTube channel here and will include:
9.30am Family Worship – a short, interactive and creative all age worship which will be the supporting video to the ‘Kids Club by Post’ PDF by Urban Saints’ Energize which we subscribe to. The PDF is full of activity ideas which could be adapted to all ages. All Age Worship this week will be available to watch on our YouTube channel here from 9.30am on Sunday morning. You can download the pdf here.
