Get ready to worship with us for Harvest

Next Sunday, October 4, will be our annual harvest services.

This year, of course, will be different to usual because of the ongoing restricitons but we will still be marking the festival, with opportunities to come and give thanks to God for his amazing creation and to give gifts to others as a sign of your gratitidue to God. You can find out more about how we will be celebrating harvest here.

Services will be at the usual times currently: Picnic Church at 9.30am – bring your own folding chair or picnic blanket, a drink and a snack (or your breakfast!) and enjoy an all-age, family-friendly time together.

At 10.45, the PRAYer Service will be happening. This a quieter service to focus on prayer and reflection – and chairs are provided!

Evening Worship services will be streamed on YouTube at 6.30pm but it is also be possible for a small congregation to be present in church.

Like our other services, we need to limit numbers and booking is necessary – because of the additional equipment we need to have set up in church for live-streaming, the attendance capacity for Evening Worship is 20. (Members of the congregation are not visible on the live-stream camera.) Please note that we are currently pre-recording the evening services at 4pm for broadcast slightly later, to help us with technical issues, so to attend the service you need to come at 4pm, not 6.30pm!

Wednesday Morning Communion will also be taking place at 11am on Wednesday 23 September.

You can book online for any of these services using the links on this page or by going straight to the Eventbrite website and searching for St Peter’s Shipley. Online booking is open any time up to 8.30am on the day for Sunday morning services and up to 5pm on the day for evening services.

It helps us if you are able to book online but don’t worry if you don’t have access or find it difficult – you can still email or telephone the church office to book, Monday – Friday between 9am and 12 noon.

A reminder that access to the church is only via the car park door, hand-washing and social distancing requirements remain in place and it is mandatory to wear a face covering unless you are in one of the exempt categories.

All our livestream services can be found on our YouTube channel here and keep an eye on our Facebook page here for further details. You can download the order of service for Evening Worship here, to allow you to follow along during the livestream broadcast.
