Worship Survey – please tell us what you think!

The Coronavirus Pandemic has meant that we have had to radically change the way we worship to try and meet the current restrictions and keep everybody as safe as possible.

As a reminder:

During lockdown, we broadcast a pre-recorded service on our You Tube channel on Sunday evenings, put together at home by John, Viv and various members of the congregation each week, plus the staff team live-streaming either morning or evening prayers on Facebook Monday to Friday. Andy Thorlby has been leading a Saturday morning informal prayer group on Zoom, Rachel has run a variety of activities and sessions for children, young people and families on Zoom and Facebook, Messy Church has gone online on YouTube, with Jess and the team delivering craft boxes to families each month and Helen has been holding regular Sunday morning online coffee times on Zoom for people to meet socially.

Since churches were able to reopen for limited numbers, within COVID-secure restrictions, the PCC agreed a temporary new service pattern for the time being, with two services each Sunday morning in church in person, Picnic Church at 9.30 which is an informal all age service and the PRAYer service at 10.45, which follows a slightly more set pattern, based on the Pause, Rejoice, Act, Yield PRAY model. Evening worship is still on YouTube but is now live-streamed from church and it has recently become possible to attend this service in person too. Wednesday morning 11am communion has also restarted.

As it seems likely that some restrictions will remain in place for some time, the PCC wants to review the worship we have been offering and think again about what we can do to best meet all our needs over the coming weeks and months, recognising that things will need to change and we will all need to be flexible.

We have put together a survey with some questions for everyone – whether or not you have accessed any of our online provision and whether or not you have been back to a service at church since we reopened.  We really need as many people as possible to give us their views!

You can get to the survey online by clicking here – if you are able to, please complete the survey this way as it will help us to quickly and efficiently process the results. If you complete it online, the survey should take between 5 and 10 minutes to finish.

If you really struggle to complete the survey online, we can email it to you as a word document to fill in and email – please email the church office at office@stpetes.org.uk to ask for a copy and email it back to the office when you have completed it. Hard copy versions to fill in by hand have been sent to those who do not have online access.

The closing date for surveys is 5pm on Friday 9 October – so please let us have your views before then! Thank you so much for your time and your views in advance.
