Morning Prayer is back!

Developing the habit of putting some time aside at the start of each day to say morning prayers is an important part of our journey in faith and in growing closer to Jesus.

Joining in with and praying along with others at the same time can really help in developing our daily prayer habits too so, after a short break over the summer, from this week, daily morning prayer is back! Each weekday either virtually over on our Facebook Page or physically in church, one of the staff team will be saying morning prayers. Do join us if you can.

On Monday, Wednesday and Friday prayers will be at 9am livestreamed on Facebook (but you can watch the video afterwards if you miss it!) and on Tuesday and Thursday prayers will be live in church, in the Hope Chapel. (You WILL miss those unless you’re there at 9am!) There is no need to book for Morning Prayers in church at the moment – but handwashing and social distancing measures will be in place. Entry will be via the side door beside the cellar steps.

Whenever and however you prefer to pray, you can download some resources here which you may find helpful – one a formal liturgical order for Morning Prayer, which we will be using online and in church, and one an informal framework. The prayers are themed around what the lectionary suggests at this time of year – but feel free to change these for your own concerns at any time!
