Join us today 5 July for prayer and worship.
Today is an exciting day for many of us as we are able to open our doors for the first time since March 22 and welcome people back into the church building for private prayer.
The experience of coming into the church will be very different from what we are used to for a while yet but there will be plenty of people around to guide you if you’d like to come. We hope to be able to begin to have worship services together too in the near future, although thinking and planning for those is still going on.
If you’d like to come along and pray privately in the building in the meantime, the church will be open today (Sunday 5 July) and every Sunday for the next few weeks between 9am and 11am and on Wednesdays between 11am and noon. Please enter the building through the door from the car park only and follow the instructions given by the stewards.
Meanwhile, worship online will continue. If you would like to share in the Church of England’s national service this morning, you can watch it on their website here from 9am – this week will be the first online prison church service broadcast by the Church of England, from HMPs Stocken, Low Newton and Pentonville.
For St Peter’s Online this week, at 10.30am, Rachel will be leading Family Worship with Emma Taylor, a member of our Risen Youth Group, over on our Facebook page here.
This evening 6.30pm, there will be a service of Evening Worship over on our YouTube channel here at 6.30pm. This week we’re continuing our teaching series thinking about the Lord’s Prayer, focussing on asking God to ‘Deliver us from evil’. You can download the words for the service from here to enable you to join in.
