Shipley Christians Together has moved on significantly since our last PCC Away Day in 2019. Despite the pandemic, the organisations has restablished itself as a charity and the debt centre in conjunction with CAP is now a reality – up and running and working in Shipley. The North Bradford Food Bank also continues to be a significant service, much-needed in our town and SCT has also been doing work during the pandemic ensuring that children, whose families would otherwise struggle to feed them during the school holidays, get a decent meal each day.
Thomas Knight, the debt centre manager, came to speak to a PCC meeting earlier this year and considering how we can work more effectively by joining with SCT continues to be important for us. You can read more about the debt centre on the SCT website here.
