During Lockdown, we believe it is more important than ever to cultivate the habit of a regular rhythm of prayer to mark out our days.
Some people find it more helpful to pray in the morning, others in the evening, while others do both! Spending time with God at the start or end of the day, being quiet, praying and listening for him, perhaps in a particular corner or place where you feel close to God, is a great habit to cultivate during these days.
There are lots of resources you can use to help you to do this. If you find it helpful to feel you are praying with others, a member of the leadership team will be leading Morning Prayers live on our Facebook page on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 9am and Evening Prayers on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 5.30pm – do join us if you are able.
These prayertimes will follow a liturgical pattern of prayer and the Bible readings set for this time of the year. You can find this week’s liturgy here to follow or print off.
If you have a prayer request that you would like to share either with the staff team or the wider church, either anonymously or giving us your name, then please click here to fill in our Prayer Request Form.
If you prefer a more informal style of prayer, you may prefer to use the prayer pattern which can be downloaded here and which follows the PRAY – Pause, Reflect, Ask, Yield – pattern of daily prayer.
There is also a group which meets for an informal prayer time via Zoom video call on Saturday mornings at 10am. If you would like to join in with this, contact the Church Office firstname.lastname@example.org or 01274 400381 for more details of how to get the link.
