Natasha’s Reflections

The Christ We Share…Away Day

I just want to say thank you to everyone who came to our away day with a special thanks to those who prepared the food, served, washed up, led music and organised all the technical bits and bobs…so essential in making the time together run smoothly and effectively. For those of you who were unable to join us, we spent time considering who Christ was to us, looking at different pictures and images of Jesus and then considered the following questions about how our community might perceive us both as Christians and as Church.

  • What image of Christ does the community receive from the church?
  • What image does the community have of the church?
  • What image does the church have of the community?
  • What image does the church have itself?

We then looked at some priorities around:

  • Prayer Ministry
  • Youth and Family work
  • Mission and outreach
  • Pastoral Care
  • Worship
  • Finance and buildings

With everyone attending having the opportunity to highlight what they felt was important and what perhaps might things better. The full notes will be available at the back of church next week, and they will be the focus of the next PCC’s meeting on Tuesday 29th October.
