Services this week – Sunday 5 June

Pentecost

10.30am – All Age Outdoor Service

This is the special Sunday in church’s year when we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit on the early church and his ongoing work in us today.

This year, the weekend also coincides with the time when our country will be celebrating the Queen’s 70 years on the throne – as Head of State for our country, and also as Head of the Church of England.

We will be bringing both those events together with special celebrations all weekend – click here to find out more about our jubilee events.

Sunday will be the culmination of celebrations for Pentecost and for the Jubilee with one joint all age morning service at 10.30am. This service take place outdoors in the church car park, weather permitting!

Please note that parking in the car park will be limited as a result, although a small number of spaces will be available for people with access difficulties. Please be considerate of our neighbours when parking and consider walking, cycling, car sharing or using public transport to get to church if you can!

As well as celebrating all that Pentecost means for the work of the church today, we will be remembering how we have worshipped through the decades of the Queen’s reign – with songs and hymns from each of the last seven decades through the service.

All are welcome to join us – we’d love to see you there.

Please note there will be no evening service at St. Peter’s on June 5.
