A reminder that John has called a special meeting for the election of churchwardens this coming Sunday morning.
Those who were at the meeting which took place at the end of April will know that we were only able to elect one churchwarden, with Hazel Wilmshurst standing again. Karen has already gone over a year beyond the point she originally indicated she wished to step down but has done a great job at keeping us going through the pandemic.
However, we need to elect a second warden to work alongside Hazel by 31 May this year, to allow Karen to step down when the new wardens are formally appointed by the Archdeacon at the end of June. As a result, we will be holding a short special meeting on Sunday morning at 10.30am to allow an election to take place. All members of the electoral roll and anyone resident in the parish is entitled to vote in the election of a warden so do join us for this meeting if you are able to. As with all our services nad meetings at the moment, you need to book to attend the meeting, even if you are also booked for either the 9.30 Picnic Church or 10.45 Morning Worship services.
